I went shopping today! I bought some makeup (of course), an iPhone case for my new cellphone which isn’t even here yet and Demi Lovato’s new album. I will definitely be reviewing the makeup soon, once i get the chance to try everything out. Some of the names of the products are really cute, like Fresh Mango Tango for the eyeshadow duo and Orange Choux Cake which is the all over color. I also got a nail polish that looks like an ice cream. In the pile there is also eyeshadow, eye shadow base and an eye ‘icing’! How cute are all these things?! I love ETUDE HOUSE! It’s a hot summer day and today, I’m going to an awards ceremony. I was recently inducted into the Quill and Scroll honor society at my school. I’m really happy about it because I worked really hard to get to where I am now…For this post, I was inspired by water, flora and fauna. I got this dress at forever 21. My anklet is a beautiful piece from Pakistan. I love my country! Anyways, I hope you all have a great day!

Versus

5 years ago, before I was depressed, things were going great for me. I had friends, had a great relationship with my parents and brought home really good grades. I would write, read and talk like nothing mattered. I was an avid reader, one who enjoyed reading all sorts of stories. Slowly, the depression started sinking in and I lost everything. Before, I would pass my tests with flying colors but now I can’t even concentrate for 5 minutes without getting distracted. I feel lethargic all the time and when I wake up from sleep, I still feel tired. I went from being happy and bubbly to depressed and full of nothing. I’m used to disappointing people now because it’s happened so much lately.

I can’t study, I can’t sleep, I can’t concentrate. A part of me is ‘dead’. And I will never get it back. And it makes me really sad.

Tea Pot

I don’t think I ever wrote about this GIANT teapot that I came across at Versailles. Everything about this picture make me want a cup of tea. The baby blue skies, the soft clouds and most of all the flowers and trees. It reminds me of Alice in Wonderland and the tea party she has with the Mad Hatter. I just thought it would be a great time to “throwback”, haha! I hope you drew inspiration from this photo like I did. xx, Ayra

An Open Letter to Angelina Jolie

Dearest Angelina Jolie,

You truly encapsulate what being an inspiration and role model means. Thank you for that. I learned today about your “medical choice” and I would like to tell you that your article was empowering. I don’t deal with the same issues as you, but do have to make medical choices. Health comes before everything. In order to live a happy life, we need to be healthy. I believe this is true for all women. If only we can educate and help women to get treatment for what they need or require. Recently, I was told that there was a certain imbalance in my system. To fix it, I need to take lots of medicine DAILY. I was ambivalent about taking so many medicines. You have definitely made me consider taking the leap.

The Benefits of Cold Cream

 

Cold cream can be seen as a miracle beauty balm. It has many benefits and most of all, it is cheap! Here are a list of things you can do with cold cream:

1. Makeup remover – Cold cream removes makeup like no other. It is gentle and will remove even the toughest of water proof mascara. AND it will not sting your eyes. 
2. Eye cream – It is very moisturizing so will act as a great eye cream. Use it at night.
3. Facial cleanser – Put a small dollop of this on your face and gently work it into the skin. Clean with fresh, warm water.
4. Skin Softener – Lather it on any areas where you have dryness and eventually it will go away.
